Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Director, Insurance and Enterprise Risk Management to join a leader in the Energy & Utilities sector. This remote role focuses on shaping insurance strategy, risk governance, and project-specific coverage while collaborating with finance, engineering, and EHS teams to strengthen controls and manage surety programs.

The role leads broker negotiations, evaluates alternate risk solutions, and guides enterprise-wide risk assessments to position the business for complex liability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant insurance experience, especially in general liability.
• 3+ years as a corporate risk manager preferred.
• Experience in nuclear energy, construction, or insurance brokerage.
• Preferred certifications include CRM, ARM, CPCU, or CRIS.

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Insurance and Enterprise Risk Management to join the team of a leader in the Energy & Utilities space.
This leader will own the organization’s insurance strategy and enterprise risk governance, with a focus on both corporate and project-specific coverage needs. The role will partner closely with finance, engineering, and EHS teams to strengthen risk controls, support surety program management, and ensure the business is positioned to address complex liability exposures. It will also lead broker negotiations, evaluate alternative risk solutions, and guide risk assessments across the enterprise.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $184,368 – $245,824 annually
