Job summary

National Business Capital seeks a Director – Institutional Partnerships to drive deal origination across lower-to-middle market financing, private credit, and advisory channels. You will cultivate senior relationships with investment bankers, sponsors, and family offices to expand the firm’s institutional footprint.

As a senior executive, you will structure flexible non-bank debt solutions, fill liquidity gaps, and lead cross-functional teams through complex transactions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in commercial lending, private credit, investment banking, or ABL.
• Established network across middle-market sponsors, advisory firms, PE networks.
• Strong command of alternative debt structures and complex transactions.
• Executive communication with C-suite partners and financial sponsors.
• Entrepreneurial, self-directed origination mindset.

Responsibilities

• Institutional Relationship Development: Cultivate, expand, and manage high-value strategic relationships with investment bankers, private equity sponsors, independent sponsors, M&A advisers, capital brokers, and family offices.
• Deal Origination & Sourcing: Drive deal flow across the transaction lifecycle, identifying opportunities for acquisition financing, subordinated debt, growth capital, bridge loans, and recapitalizations.
• Strategic Transaction Structuring: Identify capital gaps and position flexible capital options into transaction structures.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with underwriting, risk, and leadership teams to ensure seamless deal execution.
• Market Intelligence & Strategy: Gather real-time insights on private credit trends and market shifts to inform channel strategy.
• Pipeline & Revenue Performance: Build and manage a robust deal pipeline to meet origination and funding targets.
