Job summary

UTMB Health seeks a Director of Business Operations for Institutional Support to plan, direct, and implement multi-departmental business management, fiscal operations, and administrative services within Institutional Support. The role oversees the Office of the President's business operations hub, including budgeting, governance, and cross-department collaboration.

The candidate will lead complex shared services, manage contracting and procurement liaison, and drive performance improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 10+ years of management experience.
• Master's degree preferred with 15+ years of senior level responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs operation of a complex shared services operation with transactional components.
• Oversees administrative and financial management for the Office of the President and related departments.
• Manages budgets, capital projects, HR administration, and asset controls.
• Develops budgets and business plans with supporting documentation and justification.
• Provides leadership and financial management to multiple departments for long-term tracking and forecasting.
• Acts as liaison with HR, Facilities Planning, Finance, and Legal & Regulatory Affairs.
• Ensures compliance with UTMB policies, GAAP, and external regulations; promotes process improvement.
