Job summary

Black Hawk College seeks a visionary leader to advance institutional effectiveness, accreditation readiness, and data-informed planning. This role directs Research, Teaching and Learning Center initiatives, and online learning strategy to align with college priorities and student success.

The position oversees cross-functional teams, collaborates with academic leadership, and ensures compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational administration, higher education, business, organizational leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of five years' progressively responsible leadership experience in institutional effectiveness, accreditation, assessment, faculty development, teaching and learning, or related areas in higher education.
• Knowledge of assessment methodologies, institutional and program effectiveness, strategic planning, accreditation processes, and continuous quality improvement.
• Experience working collaboratively with faculty, academic leaders, and administrators in both individual and group settings.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and supervising professional staff.
• Experience in faculty development, instructional design, online learning, instructional innovation, or learning technologies.
• Experience with strategic planning, budget development, project management, and data-informed decision-making in higher education.
• Excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for institution-wide planning, assessment, accreditation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Leads the Teaching and Learning Center and Online Learning.
• Oversees alignment of TLC priorities with institutional goals.
• Supports district-wide faculty development, instructional innovation, and online learning initiatives.
• Collaborates with academic leadership to support student success, assessment of learning, accreditation requirements, and continuous quality improvement.
• Manages strategic planning, budget development, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness of the Teaching and Learning Center.
• Represents the College in institutional, community, professional, and accreditation-related activities and initiatives.
