The Cooper Union is seeking an Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Academic Initiatives to lead institutional research, assessment, accreditation, and strategic planning. This hands-on role reports to the President and engages with the cabinet to translate data into strategy and accountability.

Responsibilities include developing dashboards, guiding accreditation, and shaping policy through data-driven insights across academic leadership, enrollment, and budget planning.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education administration, educational leadership, assessment and evaluation, data analytics, statistics, or related field.
• Seven+ years of experience in institutional research, effectiveness, assessment, or strategic planning in higher education.
• Experience with accreditation processes (MSCHE, accreditation cycles) and reporting requirements.
• Strong data analytics, reporting, and storytelling with data.

Responsabilités

• Lead strategic planning, institutional strategy, and KPI development with governance bodies.
• Design and maintain dashboards and analytics for Cabinet, deans, and administrators.
• Oversee accreditation processes, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Coordinate program assessment, curriculum review, and policy development.
• Collaborate with IT, Registrar, and stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance.
• Foster data-driven culture and provide training to faculty and staff.
