Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Director, Insights & Innovation to lead TAIP's advanced analytics roadmap and governance, delivering AI-enabled decision-support across trial lifecycles.

The role bridges portfolio analytics, data science, governance, and analytics product stewardship, ensuring scalable, explainable insights for trial design and execution. Located in Princeton, NJ or other hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MSc, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience across clinical development, trial analytics, biostatistics, data governance, advanced trial analytics, or management consulting.
• Experience working with data scientists, advanced analytics, or AI-enabled solutions, translating business questions into analytically tractable problems.
• Experience governing analytics platforms, tools, or data products in regulated or high-risk environments.
• Strong understanding of predictive modeling, simulation, and/or machine learning concepts to challenge assumptions and guide roadmap decisions.
• Proven ability to bridge between business stakeholders and IT/data science teams, shaping solutions from concept through adoption.
• Proven track record of driving adoption of new systems, methods, or reporting processes across large organizations.
• Experience with enterprise analytics systems (Workbench, Performance Central, CTMS, etc.).
• Strong documentation, communication, and decision-framing skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and engage with senior stakeholders across global functions.

Responsibilities

• Analytics & Data Science Roadmap Ownership for TAIP’s advanced analytics capabilities.
• Analytical & Methodological Stewardship of analytic methodologies for feasibility, site selection, enrollment forecasting, and portfolio insights.
• Analytics Products, Platforms & Value Delivery for TAIP (e.g., Photon, Comet) ensuring automation and scalability.
• Applied Data Science & Advanced Analytics Leadership in predictive modeling, simulation, and AI.
• Portfolio & Execution Decision Support translating outputs into clear, decision-ready insights for senior leadership.
• Governance, Risk & Decision Integrity ensuring analytical integrity and escalation of risk.
• Capability Building & Analytical Culture mentoring analysts and fostering clarity, transparency, and rigor.
