Job summary

Sentara Health in Virginia Beach, VA seeks a Director of Information Technology for the Single Billing Office to lead the Epic revenue cycle portfolio. You will align technology strategy with revenue cycle goals, drive automation and AI-enabled workflows, and manage governance and portfolio delivery.

The role requires Epic SBO/Hospital/Professional Billing experience, and certifications such as PMP/ITIL/Lean/Six Sigma are preferred.

This role serves as the primary technology leader for enterprise billing transformation initiatives and partners closely with Revenue Cycle Operations, Finance, Digital Services, and Executive Leadership to drive optimization, innovation, automation, and financial performance improvements across the organization. The Director is responsible for technology strategy, governance, portfolio management, operational excellence, vendor management, and leadership of team leads, analysts, architects, and project resources supporting the enterprise billing platform. This role ensures technology investments align with organizational priorities and deliver measurable operational, financial, and patient experience outcomes

Strategic Leadership

• Lead the technology strategy and roadmap for Sentara's Single Billing Office platform.
• Align IT initiatives with Revenue Cycle Reimagined objectives and organizational priorities.

• Establish enterprise governance for revenue cycle technology decisions.

• Lead implementation and optimization efforts supporting integrated HB and PB workflows.
