Job summary

Varda is seeking a Director of Business Development & Capture - Advanced Concepts to own strategy for adapting commercial space capabilities to government missions. This senior, individual-contributor role reports to the executive team and requires navigating classified environments.

You will shape mission concepts with engineering and program management, manage a portfolio from first conversation through award, and position Varda to win across DoD and IC customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with government proposals and contracting processes is preferred.
• Ability to operate in classified environments and with executive-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own advanced-concepts government pipeline: define target missions, prioritize pursuits, and set capture strategy.
• Lead development of proposals, white papers, and unsolicited concepts with schedules, pricing, and compliance.
• Translate classified customer requirements into feasible mission parameters and architectures, aligned with Varda's capabilities.
