Job summary

SR Staffing seeks an Associate Director of Procurement in Montvale, NJ to lead indirect procurement across North America. You will shape sourcing strategy, negotiate with suppliers, and drive governance, cost savings, and risk management in IT, travel, banking services, and professional services.

The role requires 10+ years in procurement, strong leadership, and a hands-on approach to optimize processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of procurement experience in a corporate setting.
• Experience managing indirect procurement categories (IT, travel, facilities, etc.).
• Prior leadership or team management experience.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, sourcing, and cost analysis skills.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP/vendor master systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead indirect procurement strategies across North America, including sourcing, supplier selection, RFQs, price negotiation, contract review, and vendor performance management
• Partner with business leaders to identify cost savings, improve supplier quality, reduce risk, and strengthen procurement processes
• Oversee IT procurement activities, including RFQs, lease-versus-buy analysis, contract review, and supplier negotiations
• Manage procurement-related contract obligations and support cross-functional reviews with Legal, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders
• Own and enhance the SAP Vendor Master data, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and governance
• Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, operating controls, and best practices
• Lead travel and entertainment (T&E) procurement strategy, including vendor management, corporate card oversight, employee experience, and policy compliance
• Collaborate with Accounting and Internal Audit to review and update T&E policies
• Track indirect spend, identify savings opportunities, and present recommendations to senior management
• Review quarterly savings goals, performance, and procurement initiatives with leadership
• Develop short- and long-term procurement plans aligned with corporate objectives
• Identify alternative suppliers and sourcing strategies to improve resiliency, service quality, and cost effectiveness
• Evaluate and negotiate financial services pricing, banking agreements, insurance renewals, and related vendor contracts
• Partner with insurance brokers, HR, and leadership to assess coverage, pricing, renewals, and risk management strategies
• Support compliance efforts (including J-SOX), internal controls, disaster recovery planning, and procurement-related risk mitigation
• Lead process improvement initiatives to make procurement more efficient, transparent, and scalable
