Job summary

Volkswagen Group of America in Silicon Valley seeks a senior engineering leader to define the technical mission for In-Vehicle Computing & Digital Ecosystem applications, spanning AAOS, SDV architecture, and AI-driven cockpit intelligence.

You will lead engineering teams, manage multi‑year budgets, deliver architecture decisions, and drive roadmaps across infotainment, cloud services, and vehicle compute platforms, while partnering with VW Group Innovation and external vendors.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in automotive R&D with leadership experience.
• MS or PhD preferred in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Android Automotive OS and infotainment software architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical mission and long-term platform vision for In-Vehicle Computing & Digital Ecosystem Applications.
• Provide leadership across Android Framework, HAL layers, middleware, and cloud-connected AI runtimes.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams in platform bring-up, system integration, and performance optimization.
• Manage multi-year budgets for platform development, AI integration, and SDV compute evolution.
• Deliver executive-level reporting on architecture decisions and SDV milestones.
