Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a Technical Program Management Director for our Palo Alto office. You will coordinate across RVT and VWG leadership to ensure timely, cost-effective program delivery and remove roadblocks.

You will own requirements governance, cross-domain trade-offs, and drive the program through product development lifecycle. Located in Palo Alto, CA, you will engage with leadership teams, manage timelines and resources, and align technical targets with

Qualifications

• 10+ years in technical program management or engineering leadership delivering complex products that combine hardware and software.
• 3+ years managing platform or subsystem-level programs.
• Excellent stakeholder management across internal teams and external partners.
• Experience owning requirements governance and change-request/escalation processes.
• Strong cross-domain fluency to referee trade-offs between hardware, software and systems integration.
• Track record delivering a full product development lifecycle from concept to launch for embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Align on technical aspects for corresponding package and ensure cross-functional stakeholder alignment.
• Exchange with VWG technical program lead to resolve issues between teams.
• Define targets, timing, and execution plan; own the program execution strategy.
• Manage resources, including hardware/test assets, and plan package timelines.
• Track and report technical status in leadership or board-level reviews.
• Drive regular software release processes through the product lifecycle.
