Job summary

Sevita, including Mentor Community Services, seeks a Program Director to lead IDD services in the Tampa area. The role oversees multiple programs, ensures high-quality supports, and maintains regulatory compliance in a mission-driven environment that values growth and independence for individuals served.

You will manage staff, implement person-centered planning, and coordinate services across health, advocacy, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field is preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification as required by state regulations.
• Valid driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to manage relationships and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of 1–4 programs in a community setting, including direct supports, health care, advocacy, regulatory compliance, staffing, and budgeting.
• Oversee program staff including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, and corrective actions.
• Lead program planning, monitor service delivery, and ensure services are engaging and person-centered.
• Be on-call to support staff and arrange coverage as needed.
