Job summary

SpaceXAI seeks an experienced Data Center Operations Technician to own day-to-day operations of MMR and MDF spaces in a hyperscale AI training environment. You will manage fiber, rack-and-stack, power distribution, and HVAC coordination to ensure maximal Layer 1 availability and strict change-management compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in critical infrastructure environments, strong fiber expertise, and a proven ability to document and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data center, carrier, or mission-critical environments with high availability.
• Strong Layer 1 fiber experience including OTDR and power meter testing.
• Rack-and-stack, hardware installation, and cable management skills.
• Experience with circuit turn-up, validation, maintenance, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own operational readiness of MMR and MDF spaces including security and space utilization.
• Perform fiber operations: install, test, document, and cross-connects; maintain fiber maps.
• Troubleshoot fiber issues rapidly with OTDRs and power meters; coordinate with NOC/engineering.
• Rack-and-stack servers and network gear; manage cabling and physical layer standards.
• Support power distribution and HVAC coordination; monitor environmental setpoints.
• Lead or support incident response for Layer 1 events; drive root-cause analysis.
• Follow change-management processes for installations, moves, adds, and changes.
• Maintain as-built docs, asset records, logs, and fiber route documentation.
