Job summary

AbbVie seeks a Director of HVAC Mechanical within Strategic Investments Engineering to lead technical governance across HVAC, mechanical systems and Building Management Systems. You will shape standards, drive capital project delivery and ensure safety, compliance and reliability across global sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or a relevant technical discipline required.
• 12+ to 15+ years of engineering, manufacturing, capital project or regulated manufacturing experience.
• Demonstrated capability in HVAC, mechanical systems, reliability and project delivery.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical or regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy engineering standards for HVAC, mechanical systems and Building Management Systems.
• Lead technical decision-making and governance for capital projects across regions.
• Coordinate input from project teams, site SMEs and external partners to ensure reliable delivery.
• Drive safety, quality, regulatory compliance and operability across programs.
