Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a strategic Director, HRIS to lead the HR technology ecosystem, including Workday and UKG. This role drives optimization, governance, and standardized processes across HRIS platforms while partnering with HR, Finance, and Operations to deliver user-centric solutions.

The successful candidate will oversee a team of eleven HRIS professionals, shape the HRIS roadmap, and lead through change in a complex, matrixed healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, HR, business administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive HRIS or HR technology experience with leadership of teams and complex systems.
• Deep expertise in Workday optimization and governance.
• Experience with UKG or similar workforce management systems.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale system optimization and transformation initiatives.
• Strong project management and process design experience.
• Proven ability to lead through change in complex, matrixed environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive HRIS strategy aligned with organizational HR priorities; lead optimization of Workday and UKG workforce management; ensure data flow across HR systems.
• Establish governance models and best practices for Workday configuration, security, and releases; prioritize enhancements and new modules.
• Design standardized HRIS workflows and service delivery models; partner with HR COEs to define processes supported by technology; drive continuous improvement.
• Lead a high-performing team of HRIS professionals; align roles for capacity and scalability; foster accountability and collaboration.
• Lead HRIS-related transformation initiatives including system enhancements, process redesign, and adoption efforts.
• Collaborate with HR, security, and infrastructure to ensure governance and timely delivery of HRIS projects and integrations.
• Guide portfolio management with roadmaps and milestones; balance strategic initiatives with operations.
