Job summary

Rittal LLC is seeking a Director of Hugh Performance Computing Solutions in Schaumburg, IL or remote, to lead HPC strategy, growth, and solution delivery for cloud, AI, and data center customers.

The role requires strong commercial leadership, technical acumen, and collaboration with global teams to ensure successful deployments of enclosure systems, power distribution, cooling, and liquid cooling solutions. Travel 50–75% is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data center infrastructure, IT systems, electrical products, thermal management, or related industries.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing customer-facing teams or strategic accounts.
• Proven experience supporting hyperscale, cloud, AI, colocation, or large enterprise customers.
• Strong understanding of: Data center infrastructure, Enclosure systems, Power distribution, Cooling technologies, Direct liquid cooling, High-density computing environments.
• Experience leading complex commercial negotiations and strategic business planning.
• Willingness to travel 50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the North American HPC growth strategy.
• Identify new opportunities within cloud, AI, colocation, and HPC markets.
• Build multi-year account plans aligned with customer expansion initiatives.
• Partner with global Rittal teams to support strategic customer requirements and international projects.
• Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with HPC customers.
• Act as the primary escalation point for strategic business, operational, and technical issues.
• Lead quarterly business reviews and executive customer meetings.
• Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and account expansion initiatives.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Lead introduction of new products, product transitions, and customized infrastructure solutions.
• Support deployment of rack systems, power distribution, cooling technologies, direct liquid cooling systems, and integrated data center solutions.
• Ensure projects achieve customer quality, delivery, and performance expectations.
• Deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
• Own revenue growth, profitability, forecasting, and business planning for HPC accounts.
• Develop pricing strategies and commercial proposals.
• Monitor KPIs related to sales growth, margin performance, customer satisfaction, and project execution.
• Support contract negotiations and long-term commercial agreements.
• Lead and influence teams across Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Project Management.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, responsiveness, and operational excellence.
• Mentor and develop high-performing talent supporting HPC customers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or related discipline
