Hospital for Special Care is hiring a Director of Hospital Applications in New Britain, CT. The role leads the Application Services Team to translate clinical and administrative needs into effective IT solutions.

The Director will drive project planning, system design, testing, deployment, and ongoing support across business and clinical applications, while managing staff and budgets in a climate-controlled hospital IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare field is required.
• Three to five years of experience in a healthcare environment are required.
• One to two years’ experience with hospital applications (business and clinical) are required.
• Ability to analyze workflows and recommend improvements or automation.
• Exceptional attention to detail is required.
• Data analysis or data modeling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Application Services Team from initiation to completion, delivering solutions on schedule and within profitability targets.
• Create and update project plans, including change controls.
• Meet with business areas to establish priorities and resources for implementations.
• Coordinate system design, testing, and system deployment; provide activation support to end users.
• Maintain applications and databases, including analytical software packages.
