Child & Family Services in New Bedford, MA, seeks a Director of Information Technology to lead the technology strategy and ensure secure, patient-centered IT support across multiple sites.

The role oversees day-to-day IT operations, partners with clinical and administrative leaders to deploy EHR systems, manage HIPAA compliance, and align IT services with the organization’s mission, focusing on reliability, staff efficiency, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• At least 7 years of progressive IT leadership in a healthcare setting.
• Experience supporting and deploying EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks).
• Experience with Microsoft Intune for MDM and endpoint security.
• Proficiency with Windows desktop/server environments and identity solutions (Entra ID).
• Experience with Office 365, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and hybrid environments.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH and healthcare IT security practices; LAN/WAN knowledge.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with clinical and administrative stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop an IT support team across clinical and administrative settings.
• Oversee IT operations with focus on reliability, security, and patient data protection.
• Partner with CIO and leaders to deploy healthcare technologies (EHRs, telehealth).
• Ensure post-go-live support and training for clinical applications.
• Align IT services with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
• Manage vendors and translate stakeholder needs into action.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce downtime and support clinical workflows.
