Job summary

El Camino Health Medical Network is seeking a Director of Hospital Based Programs to lead non-clinical operations for hospital-based services, starting with Hospital Medicine and Palliative Care. This on-site, full-time role reports to the VP of Clinic Operations and Physician Relations.

The candidate should bring 7+ years of healthcare leadership, 3+ years in a director role, and a strong track record in program development, financial performance, and quality initiatives within a hospital

Qualifications

• 7+ years of healthcare leadership in hospital, health system, or IDN.
• 3+ years in director-level or senior management role.
• Experience leading hospitalist programs or inpatient services.
• Bachelor’s degree required in healthcare-related field.
• Master’s degree preferred (MHA or MBA).
• Knowledge of healthcare delivery, reimbursement, budgeting and planning.
• Demonstrated physician relations and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Strategize and develop hospital-based programs; align with clinical priorities.
• Lead program growth, optimization, and service expansion.
• Monitor quality goals, patient experience, and outcomes.
• Oversee budgets, productivity, and revenue optimization.
• Coordinate with hospital leadership and physician groups for alignment.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness.
