Job summary

Action for a Better Community, Inc. seeks a Program Director to oversee the Action Front Center, manage staff, and drive HIV prevention initiatives at 33 Chestnut Street.

You will lead work plans, fundraising, fiscal management, and program development while ensuring service excellence and compliance. The role emphasizes advocacy, community engagement, staff development, and cross‑functional collaboration with a focus on eliminating health disparities and improving outcomes for high‑risk

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health or Human Services Administration, Public Administration, Social Work, or related field.
• Minimum of five years in HIV prevention or related public health/health services.
• Minimum of three years supervisory/management experience with program oversight.
• Strong organizational, planning and project management skills.
• Experience with policy, advocacy and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily AFC operations and supervise program staff.
• Develop and manage work plans, budgets, and funds/grants.
• Coordinate policy development, training, and special events.
• Monitor compliance with regulations and quality assurance.
• Engage community partners and advocate for HIV prevention strategies.
