Job summary

Centessa Pharmaceuticals in Boston, MA, is seeking a Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) to lead the development and execution of HEOR strategies across the Orexin Franchise.

You will partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access, Commercial, Legal, Regulatory, and external research partners to translate strategic objectives into actionable, well-governed research plans throughout the product lifecycle — from early pipeline evidence generation and launch

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in health economics and outcomes research or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, or related disciplines.
• Experience designing studies using healthcare databases (claims, EHR, registries).
• Experience developing PRO strategies and/or RWE designs (external or synthetic control arms).
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and payer landscape for novel therapies.
• Strong project management in a matrixed organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including publications/presentations.
• Experience working across cross-functional teams and with external vendors/partners.
• Sleep/neuroscience experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of HEOR strategies and plans for the asset.
• Identify unmet needs and value gaps with cross-functional teams.
• Translate objectives into actionable, accountable research plans.
• Design PRO strategies into clinical development and market access plans.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory/payer landscape and implications for evidence generation.
• Manage HEOR studies (retrospective/prospective, claims/EHR/registries, external controls).
• Develop health economic models, AMCP dossiers, value communications, literature reviews.
• Ensure governance and approvals; cross-functional alignment.
• Manage vendors/CROs; budget oversight and on-time study execution.
• Translate results into practical tools and materials; present to stakeholders.
• Contribute to publications, congress presentations; represent Centessa at meetings.
• Navigate global organization to align regional evidence with global narratives.
