Job summary

Abbott in Lake Forest, IL is seeking a Director of Healthcare System Optimization and Strategy to lead a team of clinical professionals focused on infectious disease diagnostic testing and patient care workflows.

You will partner with hospitals and IDNs to assess current workflows, identify gaps, and develop evidence-based recommendations, while guiding solution implementation and measuring impact on value, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree required (MD, PharmD, or PhD).
• Minimum 10 years in hospital or health system environments.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership within healthcare systems.
• Experience with healthcare operations, care delivery models, and workflow optimization.
• 2+ years in the medical device/diagnostics/healthcare industry and as an MSL or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Clinical Solutions team.
• Guide partnerships with hospitals and IDNs to assess workflows.
• Design workflow optimization strategies using diagnostic testing solutions.
• Provide scientific leadership and communicate complex data to diverse stakeholders.
