Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Louisiana seeks an experienced Facilities Operations leader to oversee 24 locations, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable environments that support patient care and clinical operations.

You will direct building systems, life-safety, preventive maintenance, vendor management, and emergency readiness, while fostering a proactive, service-oriented culture across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive facilities, engineering, maintenance, construction, or building operations experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM). Certified Facility Manager (CFM).
• Experience managing multiple facilities or geographically distributed operations; budgeting and vendor management; strong knowledge of building systems and life-safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and operational leadership for Facilities Operations across 24 locations.
• Ensures facilities are safe, functional, compliant, reliable, and well-maintained to support patient care and operations.
• Directs operation and maintenance of building systems, utilities, grounds, life-safety, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Establishes consistent facilities operating standards, processes, service expectations, and performance measures.
• Oversees the Facilities Operations team and drives reliability, safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
• Partners with senior leadership and external service providers to align facilities with organizational priorities.
