MedStar Health is seeking a Director of Emergency Management to lead emergency preparedness, business continuity, and incident response for its Washington, DC campus. This executive role partners with senior leaders to advance readiness and resilience across a complex health system.

You will oversee programs, ensure Joint Commission and CMS compliance, manage budgets and grants, and coordinate with public safety and regional partners to protect patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Public Safety, EMS, or a related field.
• Clinical experience as a nurse, physician assistant, or physician.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in healthcare emergency management planning and response.

Responsabilités

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of emergency management and business continuity programs.
• Oversee entity-wide emergency operations plans, protocols, policies, and procedures, ensuring ongoing readiness and effectiveness.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness training, drills, exercises, and after-action improvement initiatives.
• Maintain emergency response communication systems and ensure operational readiness across the organization.
