Job summary

Sound Physicians is expanding its Emergency Medicine leadership team in Washington, DC, seeking a Medical Director to guide an experienced group at Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center. The role emphasizes clinical judgment, autonomy, and collaborative leadership in a dynamic environment.

The team delivers care across Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, and Critical Care, with a focus on patient-centered outcomes, operational excellence, and physician leadership development.

Qualifications

• Board certified/eligible Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
• Medical Directors must be ABEM/ABOEM certified with at least one year of medical leadership experience in a similar or larger volume department.
• Certifications: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• The EM team responds to floor codes.
• The Sound hospitalist team is part of the Rapid Response and Code team.
• Cerner is our EMR.
