Job summary

WellSpan Health in York, PA seeks a Director of Design and Construction Preconstruction and Project Support to oversee all preconstruction activities, design coordination, equipment planning, and project support for healthcare facilities. You will lead QC, cost modeling, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field required.
• Masters degree preferred for advanced leadership.
• 15+ years experience in facilities design and construction, capital planning, and preconstruction oversight.
• 5 years in higher education, healthcare, government or large institutional environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preconstruction activities, program development, scope and cost models.
• Coordinate with clinical users, IT, facilities and design consultants.
• Direct staff engineering, architecture and QC for design deliverables.
• Ensure regulatory, LEED and design standards alignment across projects.
• Lead minor projects portfolio planning, budgeting and scheduling.
• Provide strategic direction to engineering and architecture staff.
