Job summary

Wor-Wic Community College seeks a director to build the Center for Workforce and Apprenticeship Pathways, providing strategic leadership for healthcare apprenticeships and partnerships with employers and educational institutions.

The role oversees program operations, grant management, recruitment, and pathway expansion to address regional workforce needs; requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership; may involve evenings/weekends; full-time with benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; five years of relevant experience.
• Experience with data analysis, grants, budgets, and partnerships.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel and occasional evenings/weekends.
• Preference for master’s degree and supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, and administration of registered apprenticeship programs.
• Direct healthcare apprenticeship initiatives and establish sustainable models.
• Expand apprenticeship pathways into new industries via labor market analysis.
• Build and manage employer, community, and education partnerships.
• Oversee grant-funded initiatives, budgets, compliance, and reporting.
• Supervise staff and optimize apprenticeship operations and participant tracking.
• Recruit, onboard, retain and support apprentices; coordinate outreach.
• Lead assessment processes and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
