Sidney Health Center is seeking a Health Information Management Director to join our I CARE team. This full-time role leads the HIM department, ensuring timely and accurate coding of charges, management of medical records, transcription verification, and data collection.

• 5 years of HIM or medical records experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Education: Associate degree in Health Information Administration/Technology preferred.
• Certifications: RHIT or RHIA preferred; Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA preferred.

$35.00 Per hour starting wage, aligned with internal pay structure and experience

Essential Job Functions

• Operational direction for Health Information Management (HIM), including:
  • Ensuring timely and accurate coding of hospital and physician charges
  • Medical Records completion and storage, transcription verification, clinical documentation improvement, patient release information, and data collection.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years of HIM or medical records experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Education

• Associate’s degree in Health Information Administration/Technology preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential preferred.
• Coding certification from AAPC or AHIMA preferred.
