Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction and vision for BCHSI, aligning with its mission and goals.
• Provide leadership, management, and stewardship of BCHSI's academic missions in research, education, and training.
• Foster fairness, opportunity, collaboration, and professional growth within BCHSI.
• Promote teamwork within the Institute and with UCSF Institutes and Departments, industry partners, and national/international colleagues.
• Model the University’s values and ethical standards in all activities.
• Uphold UC policies and maintain accountability and conduct.
• Cultivate cross-campus relationships and engage technology firms and entrepreneurs.
• Collaborate with San Francisco and Bay Area leaders to identify learning and research opportunities.
