Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Director of HCM Applications to lead the HCM technology strategy in Jacksonville or Orlando, FL. You will provide strategic direction for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, lead an enterprise HCM applications team, and partner with HR to align technology with business priorities.

You will govern upgrades, integrations, security, and data integrity while managing vendor relationships and delivering an HR tech roadmap that supports organizational goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as stated in Job Requirements.
• Seven+ years of experience with enterprise HCM applications.
• Three+ years of leadership managing application teams or cross-functional initiatives.
• Oracle Cloud HCM certifications or related IT/HR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for the HCM Applications team, including oversight of system support, enhancements, upgrades, integrations, testing, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Serve as IS leader for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM applications (Talent Management, Recruiting, Core HR, Compensation, and related modules).
• Partner with HR leadership to translate business needs into technology solutions and maintain an HCM roadmap.
• Oversee configuration, optimization, release management, governance, and security for HCM apps and third-party products.
• Ensure data integrity, security, compliance, and appropriate RBAC across HCM systems.
• Lead planning and execution for Oracle quarterly updates, testing, and production readiness activities.
• Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, contracts, escalations, and roadmaps for Oracle and partners.
• Establish support models, intake processes, prioritization methods, and performance metrics for HCM services.
• Guide cross-functional teams through implementations, process redesign, integrations, and change management.
• Develop, mentor, and evaluate team members fostering accountability and growth.

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Director, HCM Applications to join our team in either Jacksonville, Florida or Orlando, Florida.

The Director of HCM Applications is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational oversight, and continuous optimization of Human Capital Management applications within Information Systems. This role provides direction for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM applications, with specific focus on Talent Management, Recruiting, Core HR, Compensation, and related third-party products. The Director partners closely with Human Resources, Information Systems leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure HCM technology solutions are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational priorities.

Essential Functions

• Provide strategic direction and day-to-day leadership for the HCM Applications team, including oversight of system support, enhancements, upgrades, integrations, testing, reporting, and issue resolution.
• Serve as the Information Systems leader for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM applications, including Talent Management, Recruiting, Core HR, Compensation, and related modules or capabilities.
• Partner with Human Resources leadership to understand business priorities, translate requirements into technology solutions, and maintain an HCM application roadmap that supports organizational goals.
• Oversee configuration, optimization, release management, and governance for Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM applications and associated third-party products.
• Ensure application stability, data integrity, security, compliance, and appropriate role-based access across HCM systems.
• Lead planning and execution for Oracle quarterly updates, patches, enhancements, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and production readiness activities.
• Manage vendor relationships, service-level expectations, contracts, escalations, and product roadmaps for Oracle and third-party HCM technology partners.
• Establish and maintain support models, intake processes, prioritization methods, and performance metrics for HCM application services.
• Guide cross-functional teams through system implementations, enhancements, process redesign, integrations, and change management activities.
• Develop, mentor, and evaluate team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, service excellence, and professional growth.
• Participate in planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and prioritization activities for HCM application services.
• Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve user experience, increase automation, and optimize the value of HCM technology investments.
• Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained for system configuration, business processes, operational procedures, testing outcomes, and support handoffs.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with organizational policies, security standards, change control procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Remain current with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to inform future state strategy and innovation.
• Represent Nemours in industry forums, vendor briefings, and professional development activities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field required; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience supporting, implementing, or leading enterprise HCM applications, preferably in a healthcare, academic medical center, or larger enterprise environment required.
• Three (3) or more years of leadership experience managing application teams, technology projects, or cross-functional initiatives required.
• Relevant Oracle Cloud HCM certifications or professional certifications in project management, IT service management, or human resources technology preferred.
