Job summary

ŌURA is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Hardware Engineering Program Management to lead the Hardware PMO’s contribution to major product lines. This leader will guide senior EPMs and TPMs, shape the organization, and align product, engineering, operations, and supply chain around portfolio trade-offs.

The role requires deep consumer hardware delivery experience, executive judgment, and the ability to drive accountability across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and test domains,

Qualifications

• Experience leading hardware programs across multiple domains and teams.
• Strong understanding of hardware development cycles and NPI processes.
• Proven ability to align senior stakeholders on trade-offs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop senior EPMs and TPMs with clear expectations.
• Own hiring, succession planning, and leveling for the EPM org.
• Raise the functional bar for hardware program management.
• Foster accountability, clarity, and predictable execution.
• Set execution strategy for integrated engineering delivery across disciplines.
• Escalate material program risk and cross-program conflicts.
• Ensure credible schedules, dependencies, and staffed workstreams.
• Strengthen execution through prototype to launch-readiness activities.
