Director, Government Relationship Manager

We are expanding our specialized Government banking team within Institutional Markets. This senior role, based in our San Francisco office, focuses on business development and maintaining strong client relationships.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and executing business development plans to meet or exceed goals.
  2. Providing strategic advice and insights to senior leadership.
  3. Recommending strategies and new initiatives based on market and industry analysis.
  4. Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
  5. Managing client relationships and sales activities, including pre-sales and post-sales support.
  6. Developing business cases, resource planning, and strategic roadmaps.
  7. Leading change management and risk management initiatives.
  8. Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 7+ years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree.
  • Successful experience in business development and networking in external markets.
  • Deep knowledge of industry verticals, market dynamics, and regulatory environment.
  • Strong skills in negotiations, RFP responses, and sales strategy development.
  • In-depth expertise in risk management, relationship management, and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and collaborative skills.
