Job summary

Vantor Inc. seeks a Director of Government Relations in Herndon, VA to lead federal advocacy and govern ment engagement. Telecommuting up to weekly is allowed based on mission needs.

The role requires extensive knowledge of the legislative process, relationships with executive and legislative branches, and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. The director will craft and execute outreach strategies, collaborate across functions, and represent Vantor with industry groups and associations to advance

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' Capitol Hill and/or related experience.
• Polished writing and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with corporate executives and senior government officials.
• Self-starter with ability to manage time and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships to educate legislative and executive branch decision-makers and influencers on Vantor products, services, and technologies.
• Develop, drive, and manage legislative and executive branch outreach strategy and activities.
• Monitor, analyze, respond to, and influence federal policy and regulatory trends affecting aerospace and defense.
• Represent the company with government branches and coordinate messaging with industry leads.
• Collaborate with other corporate functions to ensure coordinated communications strategy.
• Represent the company among industry groups and associations and prepare strategies to maximize value.
