Job summary

nVent seeks a seasoned legal professional to lead its global trade compliance program from the United States. This role partners with Ethics and Compliance leadership to align policy, governance, and operations with business priorities across regions.

You will oversee risk assessments, training, and due diligence for acquisitions and new markets, translating complex trade laws into scalable controls and processes.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor required with active US bar license.
• Experience leading a global trade compliance program.
• Ability to translate laws into practical processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global trade compliance program with strategy, governance, risk assessments, policies, and controls.
• Provide legal guidance and operational execution for global trade compliance.
• Assess regulatory changes’ impact on business and lead timely changes.
• Build and lead a global trade compliance team.
• Embed trade compliance into business processes and systems.
• Oversee training and communications to raise awareness of controls.
• Establish screening and sanctions controls; escalate matches.
• Oversee due diligence for acquisitions, new markets, products.
• Manage government inquiries, audits, investigations, and remediation.
• Develop analytics to measure program effectiveness and risks.
