Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Director of Imports, Trade Compliance and Customs to manage complex client engagements across multiple locations in the United States. The role oversees investigations, program design, audits and client interactions, with a focus on Buy America and related sourcing regulations.

Ideal candidates will have 6+ years of experience in import trade compliance, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, International Business, or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive import trade compliance and international trade experience.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage concurrent client projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Lead domestic and international trade compliance investigations and audits.
• Develop and enhance client compliance programs and controls.
• Mentor and supervise engagement staff, fostering professional growth.
• Support business development through proposal writing and client relationships.
• Stay current on evolving U.S. and global trade regulations and policies.
