Job summary

Bed Bath & Beyond, Inc. is seeking a seasoned leader to drive strategic planning and development of a global sourcing platform, delivering high-quality products with a healthy margin. You will coordinate with Merchandising, Planning, IT, Finance and Vendors to optimize costs and delivery timelines.

This role requires strong change management, supplier performance oversight, and a commitment to Kirkland’s Values while advancing direct importing strategy and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and development of a global sourcing platform to deliver high quality products with margin growth.
• Act as key link between internal/external stakeholders including Merchandising, Planning, IT, Finance, Vendors, Legal and Supply Chain.
• Drive change management to introduce new initiatives and ensure execution of processes.
• Manage teams and stakeholders on sourcing strategy and calendar milestones for on-time products.
• Negotiate costs, ensure quality, and secure on-time shipments for assigned product categories.
• Leverage market intelligence to drive strategic impact across the business.
• Assess and adapt to dynamic business environments.
• Reinforce supplier management processes to ensure on-time orders, minimize costs, and address quality issues.
• Serve as subject matter expert on direct importing processes and strategy.
• Uphold Kirkland’s Values in all activities.

Responsibilities

• Leads the team through strategic planning and development of global sourcing platform to deliver high quality products with costing structure that delivers positive margin growth
• Acts as key link between all internal and external stakeholders including Merchandising, Planning / Allocation, IT, Finance, Vendors, Legal and Supply Chain
• Utilizes change management skills to introduce new initiatives, influence teams and effectively implement processes
• Manages teams / stakeholders on overall sourcing strategy and calendar management to achieve each sourcing milestone and deliver on time product
• Responsible for effective cost negotiations, quality production, on-time shipments and overall execution for assigned product categories
• Strategic Orientation: significant experience leveraging business acumen, market intelligence and insight to drive broad strategic impact across a business
• Proven ability to assess and adapt to dynamic business environment
• Reinforces supplier management processes to ensure products are ordered on-time, suppliers understand and adhere to expectations, costs are minimized, supplier performance is tracked and packaging / quality issues are addressed
• Acts as key subject matter expert on all facets of direct importing process and strategy
• Champions and demonstrates a commitment to Kirkland’s Values
