Job summary

Bed Bath & Beyond is seeking a team member to support import operations and inbound logistics from our Iowa area offices. You will help route and monitor shipments, update inbound reports, and work with vendors to resolve issues that could disrupt the supply chain.

The role emphasizes accurate data handling and adherence to established import policies. As part of the team, you will collaborate with the Merchandising group and the Sr.

Responsibilities

• Support all import operations in accordance with company direction and procedures
• Support the routing, tracing, and monitoring of all shipments to ensure timely deliveries
• Update reports, create unload priorities and volume summaries for inbound operations
• Work with the Merchandising team to resolve shipment issues with vendors to mitigate disruptions to the Supply Chain
• Ability to execute and maintain import policies and operating procedures to ensure efficient and compliant shipments
• Assist in resolving any issues in relates to booking with vendor/origin office communications
• Maintain data integrity in all operating systems related to Supply Chain
• Work with Sr. Manager, International Transportation to plan and execute yearly contracts with ocean carriers, intermodal providers and drayage companies

Physical Requirements

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
