Job summary

Specialized seeks a Director, Global Security Operations Center to lead our 24/7/365 GSOC in Plano, TX. You will build the operation from launch to go-live, scale the team, and oversee client programs, security technology, and incident management.

This role reports to the VP, Global Security Operations. The ideal candidate is a proven GSOC leader with strong leadership, client-facing skills, and executive communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of security operations experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading a GSOC, SOC, command center, or 24/7 monitoring environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, or related field, or equivalent operational experience.
• CPP, PSP, or similar security certification preferred.
• Must be available outside standard business hours for critical events.
• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process and meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Launch the GSOC from buildout through go-live, including tech integration and 24/7 staffing.
• Hire, develop, and retain GSOC operators and supervisors with training standards.
• Oversee client programs, KPIs, service levels, incident escalation, and performance.
• Provide GSOC as a Service across Managed, Hybrid, and Resident models.
• Oversee monitoring, escalation, and coordination for offices, locations, and personnel.
• Manage shift structure, coverage, and staffing across GSOC programs.
• Engage with clients and prospects as the GSOC SME during reviews and meetings.
• Champion Aurix adoption as the operational platform for the GSOC.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director, Global Security Operations Center to lead our 24/7/365 GSOC in Plano, TX. This role will oversee the launch and ongoing operation of the GSOC, including team leadership, client programs, security technology, incident management, and service delivery.

The ideal candidate is a proven GSOC leader who can build a high-performing operation, drive accountability, and serve as a trusted security expert for clients and internal leadership. This role reports to the Vice President, Global Security Operations.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of security operations experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading a GSOC, SOC, command center, or 24/7 monitoring environment.
• Proven experience launching, building, or significantly improving an operations center.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, or a related field, or equivalent operational experience.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV/VMS, access control, intrusion and life-safety systems, mass notification, and incident management platforms.
• Experience managing operational KPIs, service levels, and incident escalation.
• Strong leadership, client-facing, and executive communication skills.
• CPP, PSP, or similar security certification preferred.
• Must be available outside standard business hours for critical events.
• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process and continuously meet all applicable state, county, and municipal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Launch the GSOC. Lead the Plano GSOC from buildout through go-live, including technology integration, SOPs, escalation protocols, and 24/7/365 staffing.
• Build and lead the team. Hire, develop, and retain GSOC operators and supervisors while establishing training and performance standards.
• Own service delivery. Oversee client programs, KPIs, service levels, incident escalation, and operational performance.
• Deliver GSOC as a Service. Support Managed, Hybrid, and Resident service models as the client portfolio grows.
• Protect our operations. Oversee monitoring, escalation, and security coordination for Specialized offices, locations, and personnel.
• Manage staffing and coverage. Oversee shift structure, coverage, utilization, and staffing requirements across GSOC programs.
• Partner with clients and prospects. Serve as the GSOC subject matter expert during client reviews, prospect meetings, and GSOC tours.
• Drive Aurix™ adoption. Use Aurix™ as the operational platform for the GSOC and provide feedback to support continued development.
• Maintain operational standards. Monitor incident documentation, escalations, shift handoffs, and overall quality to identify and address gaps.
• Salary Range: $125,000-$145,000/yr
