Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Director for the R&D Global Portfolio and Project Management (GPPM) to lead and develop a team of project managers and coordinators across a designated business vertical. You will govern NPD strategy, ensure project execution, and align portfolio investments with company objectives.

In this role you will mentor staff, foster cross-functional collaboration with HR, Commercial, Operations, and R&D, and champion process improvements to accelerate time to market

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Science or Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in Medical Device/Pharma and 10+ years in R&D PM/Leadership.
• Strong communication, organization and presentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.
• MS Project (or equivalent) preferred; PMP a plus.
• Agile methodologies preferred for software projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of project managers to ensure successful execution.
• Oversee governance, tools and standards to align with strategy.
• Develop portfolio strategy, budgeting, and resource planning.
• Mentor GPPM staff and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, design control and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with HR, Commercial, Operations, and R&D for portfolio support.
