Job summary

Fluence seeks a Director of Power Conversion & Electrical Systems to own the global category strategy and commercial execution for AC power electronics, including inverters, transformers, UPS, and related controls. You will lead Advanced Procurement in new product introduction, early supplier involvement, and design for cost.

You will champion cost reduction, build a diversified supplier base, and negotiate long-term agreements while guiding a team of senior Category Managers across regions.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, or supply chain leadership.
• Ownership of at least $250M in annual category spend.
• Experience negotiating multiyear supplier agreements and value-based terms.
• Familiarity with power electronics supply chains and A&D-like product lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Own the multiyear category strategy across power conversion and electrical systems.
• Develop globally diversified supplier base with resilience and competitive positioning.
• Negotiate master supply agreements, long-term terms, and volume commitments.
• Lead Advanced Procurement integration in NPI, early supplier involvement, and cost targeting.
• Coach and develop a team of senior Category Managers and Specialists.
