Job summary

Oscar Health is seeking a Director of Managed Business Services to architect our global outsourcing strategy and govern external operations across multiple vendors and countries. You will lead end‑to‑end outsourcing initiatives, ensure quality and compliance, and drive cost objectives while sustaining excellent member experience.

You will report to the SVP, Insurance Operations, work remotely with potential future hybrid steps in your metro area, and participate in a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations or relevant field.
• 10+ years in Insurance Operations.
• 8+ years working with teams in multiple locations and within multiple disciplines.
• 8+ years of coaching and developing leading cross-functional people and teams.
• 6+ years of experience in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
• 6+ years of experience leading large‑scale implementations or expansion implementations across multiple site locations or business units.
• 5+ years of experience in procurement processes, including negotiating and contracting BPO services.
• 5+ years managing 3rd‑party BPO/ITO relationships for major functions in insurance operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing analysis to determine which functions are outsourced vs retained internally.
• Design and execute an operating model to support scalability and risk mitigation.
• Drive transformation by identifying marketplace trends and shifting outsourcing models.
• Align provider visions with long‑term corporate goals for flexibility and growth.
• Lead end‑to‑end vendor selection, RFPs, vetting, and onboarding.
• Collaborate with Procurement to negotiate MSAs and SOWs while monitoring value delivery.
