Job summary

Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) is seeking a Director for the Women’s and Newborn Health (WNH) commodity security and financing workstream. You will shape global strategy, provide in-country technical support, and engage governments and donors to improve financing and distribution of essential MNH commodities.

Ideal candidates have advanced degrees and 10+ years in global health, with proven advocacy, fundraising, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in public health, economics, public policy, or related field.
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in global health with responsibility over time; experience in commodity security, procurement, health financing, or supply chain required.
• In-depth understanding of family planning and/or MNH commodities at global and country levels.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategy in complex environments.
• Proven experience engaging with multilateral organizations, bilateral donors, and global health partners.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy for commodity security and financing within WNH, including where CHAI adds value and sequencing investments.
• Lead execution of commodity security workstreams with focus on quality, relevance, and measurable results.
• Provide hands-on technical support to country teams on procurement planning, financing, budget execution, forecasting, and supply chain management.
• Build relationships with governments and procurement bodies to strengthen domestic financing systems for MNH and family planning.
• Engage funders and donors, develop high-quality proposals, and manage grant components with risk management and disciplined resource use.
• Collaborate with CHAI’s market-shaping and country teams to ground global strategy in country realities and foster diverse partnerships.
