Job summary

Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) seeks a Director to lead the commodity security and financing strategy within Women’s and Newborn Health. You will shape global and country-level engagements, anchor workstreams across CHAI programs, and drive measurable improvements in financing and access for MNH commodities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in public health, economics, public policy, or related field.
• Ten or more years of progressive experience in global health.
• In-depth understanding of family planning and/or MNH commodities at global and country levels.
• Ability to develop and execute strategy in complex, ambiguous environments.
• Proven experience engaging with multilateral organizations, donors, and global health partners.
• Strong analytical skills and technical depth in procurement, financing, or supply chain.
• Excellent collaborator and bridge builder across diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English; French is a significant asset.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy: define CHAI's commodity security and financing strategy for WNH, align with leaders, and plan sequencing as funding changes.
• Execute programs: lead commodity security workstreams, ensure technical quality, country relevance, and measurable results.
• Support country teams: provide hands-on procurement planning, financing, budgeting, demand forecasting, and supply chain guidance.
• Engage stakeholders: build relationships with governments, donors, and global partners; represent CHAI in global forums.
• Resource mobilization: secure funds and contribute to high-quality donor proposals and risk management.
• Leadership: direct the WNH commodity security workstream and collaborate with country teams and other programs.
