Job summary

Saildrone is seeking a Director, Fleet Service, to lead a global field service team that ensures 24/7 mission readiness for the fleet. You will coordinate with Engineering, Production, Logistics, and Programs to deliver high-uptime operations and scalable technician development.

The role requires 10+ years in technical services and 5+ years in engineering leadership, with a track record of managing hardware or autonomous systems across multiple hubs. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
10+ years in operational roles leading complex technical services.
5+ years in engineering leadership with hardware or autonomous systems.
Strong ability to translate technical details to cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

Lead, scale, and manage a global field service team for 24/7 mission success.
Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and internal stakeholders.
Oversee resource allocation and scheduling across international hubs.
Design pathways for technician development and leadership growth.
Establish feedback loops from field data to inform design.
