Job summary

AMETEK Inc. (Director, Business Controller) Warrendale, PA is seeking a senior finance leader to drive global controllership, financial reporting, and strategic analysis for EDAX/MAD.

You will lead finance teams across locations, own the monthly close, ensure GAAP and SOX compliance, and partner with R&D, manufacturing, and sales to enable profitable growth. The role requires ~10+ years of finance leadership, CPA/CMA/MBA preferred, and strong ERP/HFM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Experience leading direct reports across finance and accounting functions.
• Global and multi-site experience across functions, locations, and cultures.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, technology, industrial, or similarly complex operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance, and revenue recognition.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance and accounting function for a global, multi-site business.
• Provide direction, coaching, and development for finance and accounting teams across locations.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and management reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and related policies.
• Lead forecasts, budgeting, and long-range planning, and analyze performance vs plan.
• Own working capital performance, including inventory, receivables and cash flow.
• Partner with R&D, manufacturing, operations, and commercial leaders to improve profitability and resource allocation.
• Drive ERP, reporting, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
