Job summary

McDonald’s is seeking a Director of Tech Deployment to lead strategic planning, wave orchestration, and end-to-end execution of restaurant and edge infrastructure globally. You will bridge central engineering with regional realities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure value delivery to crews and customers.

The role requires extensive leadership across large IT deployments, a strong focus on governance, security, and operational excellence, and alignment with the Restaurant Next strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field; strong foundational knowledge.
• Demonstrated leadership across large-scale IT infrastructure deployments.
• Experience managing distributed vendor contracts and cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional communication and ability to present to executive-level audiences.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale rollout programs with velocity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Global Deployment Strategy & Wave Execution across restaurant estates.
• Drive multi-market alignment between GTIO leadership, regional tech leads, and operations.
• Oversee vendor governance, procurement, and partner ecosystem performance.
• Lead technical assurance, incident triage, and risk mitigation for deployments.
• Provide program governance and team leadership, including executive dashboards.
