Job summary

McDonald’s Global Technology seeks a senior leader to head Cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering. You will guide a large team of architects, drive strategic security initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals and enterprise strategy.

Emphasis on risk reduction, compliance, and stakeholder collaboration. The role requires extensive experience in security architecture, CISSP/CISM or equivalent, and a track record of delivering across Digital/Store technologies while leading global

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in information security with significant leadership experience.
• Proven ability to reduce risk and manage technical debt while delivering.
• Ability to evaluate new technologies and present solutions.
• Experience leading large teams of senior architects and engineers.
• Deep knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum, Sprints, JIRA, Confluence).
• Ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced global org.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of Cybersecurity Architects and Engineers.
• Provide budgeting, planning, and resource optimization to drive innovation.
• Set strategic direction for cybersecurity architecture across domains.
• Oversee governance and adherence to security standards and reference architectures.
• Promote secure-by-design and secure-by-default principles across domains.
• Manage risk-weighted technical debt and remediation with product leaders.
• Represent architecture to senior leadership and drive measurable business impact.
