Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking an accomplished Director of Data Center Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team and set the technical direction for its global data center portfolio. The role partners with Design Management, Capacity, Construction, Commissioning, and Operations to translate business goals into scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions.

This senior role emphasizes governance of Basis of Design, long‑term roadmaps, and collaboration across engineering disciplines to deliver

Qualifications

• 15+ years in data center engineering, infrastructure design, or related fields.
• 8+ years in engineering leadership or people management.
• Proven experience drafting Basis of Design, reference designs, and engineering standards.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into scalable infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team across mechanical, electrical, architectural, civil, structural, and controls disciplines.
• Set technical vision and engineering strategy for global data center portfolio.
• Govern Basis of Design and maintain long‑term design roadmaps.
• Coordinate cross‑functional design reviews, milestones, and issue resolution.
• Escalate complex engineering challenges with actionable options to executive leadership.
• Collaborate with Operations and Commissioning to drive reliability, efficiency, and performance.
