Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director of Cyber Defense to lead the global incident response program and threat management strategy. This hybrid role will drive rapid detection, containment, and remediation of cyber incidents across DePuy Synthes, with responsibilities spanning playbooks, crisis management, and executive communications.

The leader will build an AI-first SOC, collaborate with IT, Legal, and Quality, and oversee threat intelligence to prioritize defenses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/InfoSec/Engineering required.
• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity/IS/BA preferred.
• 10–12 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or IT risk management, including leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead global incident response, digital forensics, defense engineering, and cyber threat intelligence capabilities.
• Build and mature an automation- and AI-first global Security Operations Center operating model.
• Direct complex cybersecurity incident investigations with rapid containment and post‑incident reporting.
• Develop and continuously improve incident response playbooks, escalation paths, and crisis management procedures.
• Partner with IT, Legal, Privacy, Quality, and Business leaders to manage cyber incidents and regulatory obligations.
• Lead threat intelligence efforts and deliver executive briefings on business implications.
• Lead tabletop exercises and readiness assessments to improve response maturity.
