Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Director, Cyber Defense to lead the global incident response and threat management program. This hybrid role will safeguard digital environments, ensure rapid detection and remediation, and collaborate with senior leaders to align security with business goals.

The ideal candidate will have 10–12 years in cybersecurity leadership, strong executive communication, and a track record in regulated industries. Travel up to 10–15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant field is required.
• Master’s degree in cybersecurity or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global incident response and threat management programs.
• Develop automation and AI-first SOC operating model.
• Direct complex cybersecurity incident investigations and reporting.
• Create and improve incident response playbooks and crisis protocols.
• Partner with IT, Legal, Privacy, Quality and Business leaders.
• Oversee threat intelligence and executive briefings on risk.
• Lead tabletop exercises and readiness assessments.
• Provide executive-level metrics on MTTA, MTTR, MTTC.
• Mentor a high-performing incident response team.
• Drive continuous improvement of security tools and processes.
